The Indian cricket team are known to have players who are big football fans and love the sport. They will now play a football match, led by Virat Kohli against prominent actors in a celebrity match.
“Dhoni bhai (MS Dhoni) is very excited about the match. He is already planning and preparing tactics because we are not used to of playing football in big fields,” Virat Kohli said.
The All Heart FC, led by the Indian cricket team skipper will play against All Stars FC in the Celebrity Clasico. This is not the first time when cricket and Bollywood has come together for a social cause.
The same match was played for charity back in 2016, in a thrilling draw that ended 2-2. Virat Kohli Foundation joined with Abhishek Bachchan’s “Playing for Humanity” charity in order to raise funds for a good cause.
The game featured Indian legend MS Dhoni as well as Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor. It was confirmed that the game would be played by a Star Sports video tweet on their official account captioned, “You have seen @ImVKohli ruling the cricket field, now get set to watch him lead All Heart FC against All Stars FC”

The Indian team is currently playing a limited overs series against Australia, having won the ODIs 4-1 while the T20s are locked at 1-1. Following this, they will face New Zealand for a three match ODI series and a similar T20 series before following it up with a visit by Sri Lanka for three Tests, three ODIs and three T20s. A long schedule is planned and a short break like this will definitely be welcomed.
The money that is earned from this match will go to the charity run by Kohli and Bachchan.
