During the Captains Day event, the ICC is going to organize a formal briefing session for the captains. Following the event of Captains Day, the World Cup 2023 Opening Ceremony will take place in the evening.

World Cup 2023 Opening Ceremony Will Be A Dazzling Event
The members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), members of the executive board of the global cricket governing body, and representatives of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will also be present on the occasion.
While the BCCI has not revealed much information about the opening ceremony, but as per a report by Cricbuzz, top singers from Bollywood as well as renowned international stars are expected to steal the show with their presence
Meanwhile, ahead of the inauguration ceremony, six out of the ten competing teams are slated to engage in warm-up matches. Among these matchups, India will take on the Netherlands, Australia will lock horns with Pakistan, and Sri Lanka will lock horns against Afghanistan.
