Superstar Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan turned 25 years of age on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

The Nangarhar-born leggie is arguably the biggest T20 match-winner in the world, having won various competitions across the globe. As he has proved on numerous occasions, Rashid Khan keeps the nag of making an instant impact on a match and turn the game on its head with bat, ball, or in the field.

He’s a serial T20 match-winner and game-changer who is a much-wanted player in T20 franchise leagues all around the world. He’s been at the forefront of Afghanistan’s success in white-ball cricket in recent years, and is amongst the most famous and loved cricketers currently.

An IPL winner with Gujarat Titans, Rashid Khan already has taken 556 wickets in 410 T20 matches at an average of 18 with 11 fours wicket hauls and 4 five-wicket hauls – numbers simply insane for even a veteran bowler, let alone someone who turned 25 only.

He’s the third-highest T20I wicket-taker with 130 scalps in only 82 matches. The two bowlers ahead of him are Shakib Al Hasan (144 wickets in 114 matches) and Tim Southee (140 wickets in 117 matches) are not too ahead of him while they have played a lot more matches than Rashid.

Fans poured their love and wishes to the Afghanistan leg-spinner on his 25th name day on Twitter. Fans hailed his extraordinary T20 all-round skillset and wish him more success in the future.

Fans also took this opportunity to make light-hearted jokes about how Rashid Khan has only turned 25 years old. There are rumors about Afghanistan players fudging their ages to participate in the Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 tournaments. It is believed among the fans that some players, especially in countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan, are actually much older than their official ages before making their international debut, and one among those could be Rashid Khan.
