Harsha Bhogle Wrote A Heat-Winning Tweet For Ambati Rayudu: Ahead of the much-awaited opening match between CSK and MI, that took place last night, there were a lot of concerns regarding Chennai Super Kings as two of the key players – Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh had pulled out of the league citing personal reasons. Especially, Suresh Raina’s decision came out as a big blow as he has been a batting mainstay for the team for a long time now.
CSK didn’t name a replacement for Suresh Raina and it became one of the most talked-about topics that – who will lead the middle order in absence of Raina. However, ending all the speculations and doubts, Ambati Rayudu walked out to bat at no.4 and gave a match-winning performance of 71 runs in the opening clash against Mumbai Indians.

Chasing a total of 163 runs, Ambati Rayudu, who has been out of action since November 2019, was at his best of the elements. He batted as if he was trying to make a statement as he stabilized the CSK innings.
Though, CSK had gotten off to a horror start as Trent Boult and James Pattinson dismissed CSK’s openers, Murali Vijay and Shane Watson. However, CSK’s third-wicket partnership of 100-plus runs by Faf du Plessis and Ambati Rayudu revived Chennai and brought the much-needed momentum.
Ambati Rayudu scored a 33-ball fifty and en route become the season’s first half-centurion. He was eventually dismissed by Rahul for 71 off 48.
