On Monday, the Gujarat Titans put up a stellar show against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Gujarat scripted an emphatic win of 34 runs over SRH and became the first team to make the playoffs in IPL 2023.
Ashish Nehra Didn’t Celebrate Shubman Gill’s Knock

Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma were the picks of the bowlers for Gujarat as they picked up four wickets each and restricted SRH to 154/9. On the other hand, with the bat, Gill stole the show as he played a blistering knock to help GT win the game. He registered his maiden IPL century by playing a knock of 101 runs off 58 balls, smashing 13 fours and 1 six.
While everyone from the GT squad was visibly happy with Gill’s performance, Titans head coach Ashish Nehra showed his emotions and was seemingly angry during Gujarat’s innings. He was so disappointed that he didn’t even get up to celebrate the ton like the rest of the squad.
All the GT members and players gave Gill a standing ovation after the youngster reached the milestone, but Nehra was the only one who was still seated and showed no emotion at all. In fact, Nehra’s reaction even left commentators Aakash Chopra and Saba Karim baffled. They were heard saying that Nehra probably expects more from the team and therefore, he did not celebrate the century.
Later, by the time, when the final over of the game began, Nehra was seen having an animated conversation with the captain Hardik Pandya. The video of the same has gone viral on the internet.

Gill Saved The Day For Gujarat Titans:
It has to be noted that only two players could get to the double-figure mark for Gujarat Titans — Sai Sudharshan and Shubman Gill. The rest of the players couldn’t contribute much with the bat and thus Nehra was upset with the performance of the batters.
It was a horrible batting collapse for GT – while four players bagged ducks with three of them getting out for a golden duck.
