Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was amongst the first cricketers to wish Sourav Ganguly a happy birthday, on the morning of July 8, 2022, Friday. Yuvraj Singh took to Twitter to wish the former India captain and the current BCCI President on this special occasion as Ganguly turns 50!

Fans are upset with Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj made his debut in 2000 under Ganguly’s captaincy and grew in stature in the next half-a-decade under the ‘Prince of Kolkata’ before establishing himself as a proper all-rounder under MS Dhoni and went to play crucial roles in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup triumphs.

In his birthday wishing tweet for Ganguly, Yuvraj hailed his former captain for his guidance and showed gratitude for helping him out when he was a youngster.

“Happy Birthday Dada! You’ve been a great friend, an impactful captain and a senior any youngster would want to learn from. Wishing you good health and happiness on your special day lots of love and best wishes always @SGanguly99 #HappyBirthdayDada,” Yuvraj tweeted

Dhoni fans slam Yuvraj Singh for not tweeting on Dhoni’s birthday

This, however, triggered a section of MS Dhoni’s fans as they were upset with Yuvraj not tweeting anything on Dhoni’s birthday just a day before, on July 7. Some of them even labelled Yuvraj to be jealous of Dhoni while some speculated rift between the duo.

“No Wish For Dhoni ..why so much hate?” tweeted a fan.

“Avoided Dhoni’s birthday like a bouncer and pounched on to a leg side full length ball to flick it to fine leg,” tweeted another fan.

Another angry Dhoni fan wrote, “So no post for Dhoni ??”

This was total confusion and a case of lack of information though because Yuvraj had wished MS Dhoni on the latter’s birthday on his Instagram story. But internet, eh?
