IPL 2023

The IPL 2023 is set to get underway on March 31, with MS Dhoni‘s Chennai Super Kings taking on the defending champions, Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans, in Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad will also host the IPL 2023 final on May 28

The IPL 2023 is the 16th edition of the IPL, which is the biggest, richest, and grandest T20 cricket league on the planet.

The BCCI has gotten multifolds richer in recent times with the astronomical sum they received and will earn more through the selling of the two new franchises in the IPL that made their debuts last year – Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants – and more so from the jaw-dropping INR 48,390 crore for the selling of the media rights to Star and Viacom18 for the IPL’s 2023-27 cycle.

This will also reflect in the increase in the prize money for the winners and runner-ups of the IPL.

The winners of the IPL 2023 will get INR 20 crore while the runner up will get INR 13 crore. The third and fourth finishing teams will get INR 7 crore each.

Apart from the teams, the BCCI also rewards the best individual players in different categories.
