Kolkata Knight Riders will kickstart their campaign in the much-awaited 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League by locking horns against Punjab Kings in its opening match on April 1 in Mohali.
The 2-time champions had a mediocre campaign in IPL 2022 where they finished 7th in the points table in the league stage.
The Shreyas Iyer-led side is placed in group A and the final of IPL 2023 will be played on 28th May at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The teams for the Indian Premier League 2023 have been divided into two groups:
Group A: Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants
Group B: while Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans
