ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Updated Schedule and Fixture: The cricket festival is just around the corner. Sri Lanka and the Netherlands have booked their flights to India after successfully concurring the ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers 2023. The updated schedule for the marquee event in India is now out.
Sri Lanka and the Netherlands Qualified For The World Cup 2023
Sri Lanka and the Netherlands were the last two teams to make it through to the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 in India. Sri Lanka defeated the Netherlands in the Qualifier final in Harare and will open their World Cup campaign against South Africa at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on 7th October. Sri Lanka’s campaign will end with a game against New Zealand in Bengaluru on 9 November.
On the other hand, the Netherlands finished runner-up in the Qualifier in Zimbabwe. They will open their campaign in ODI World Cup 2023 against Pakistan on 6th October in Hyderabad. Scott Edwards’ side will finish off their Group Stage campaign against tournament hosts India at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on 11th November.
The tournament will kickstart with a thrilling clash between the defending champions England and New Zealand on 5 October at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The final Group Stage match of the ODI World Cup 2023 will see England clash against Pakistan at the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.
There will be a total of 10 venues – Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata. In addition to Hyderabad, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram will host the warm-up matches before ODI World Cup 2023 from 29 September to 3 October.
