Sri Lanka and Pakistan are playing a series that has been completely dominated by the men in green. The games have reached a level of such mediocrity owing to the hapless Sri Lankans that journalists are trying other ways to entertain themselves.
In the third ODI for example, in Abu Dhabi on Oct 18th, Imam Ul Haq had made his debut for the team as an opener. The Pakistani team are trying out their bench strength in order to give them a run around for the series.
The 21-year old batsman who wears glasses, scored a beautiful century on his debut which helped Pakistan win the game as well as secure the series comfortably. They of course, went on to complete the whitewash 5-0 and even won the first T20 against the Lankans.
The century was of course special for Imam as it came on his debut and he was only the second Pakistani ever to achieve the feat. He also went down in history books as the 13th batsman overall to be able to complete this. His debut performance helped him nail down a spot in the next two ODIs as well.
However, an incident after the game set Twitter on fire with some hilarious responses from fans. Pakistani journalist Fazeela Saba congratulated the batsman for his performance. She is a leading anchor, writer as well as analyst with PTV Sports
Fazeela took to Twitter to congratulate him and said: “Century on debut, what an achievement Imam Ul Haq.”
Imam responded by calling her aunty and then the conversation took its own route:
Thnx fazeela aunty ??
