IND vs SA: Fans across the world are waiting for India’s much-awaited tour of South Africa, in which both the teams will be up against each other in Tests and ODIs, and the result of the Tests series will have a hug impact on the World Test championship.
Until last week, there massive doubts around the possibility of IND vs SA 2021-22 because of the outbreak of COVID’s new variant ‘omicron’. But,after analysing the situation deeply with the Health Ministry and considering every possible scenario, the BCCI decided to go ahead with the tour.
Taking the excitement of cricket fans across the world, to a step further, Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced their 21-member squad for IND vs SA Test series. They recalled their experienced trio of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Quinton de Kock back after resting them for the series against Netherlands. Duanne Olivie, has been called back by the selectors after more than 2 years, to strengthen South Africa’s batting for the IND vs SA Test series.
It is evident that the South African selectors want all their star players back in the squad for the important series against India. CSA have announced a very big and solid squad and ticked almost all the boxes.
Along withe experience, South Africa have also drafted two fresh faces to keep the Indian camp guessing, as Sisanda Magala and Ryan Rickelton, who haven’t made their Test debut yet, have been included in the 21-member squad.
