India’s leg-spinner Amit Mishra, who was originally picked in the squad for the one-off Test series against Bangladesh, has now been replaced by young left-arm chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
Mishra picked up an injury while fielding in the last match of the recently concluded series against England and he was replaced by Kuldeep Yadav, who was picked 35 wickets in 8 matches for Uttar Pradesh in the domestic season 2016-17.
Kuldeep also picked up a five-wicket haul playing for India A against England at the Cricket Club of India and probably that was a performance that made selectors consider him for a place in the squad for the one-off Test series against Bangladesh.

Kuldeep Yadav also gave good consistent performances for India Red in Duleep Trophy. Yadav picked 17 wickets in 3 matches, including a six-wicket haul in one of the games. It is very likely that India will play with three spinners and if this happens Kuldeep Yadav will make is much deserved Test debut for India.
