The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the 16-member squad for the Test series against West Indies. As expected, there are no major changes from the team which defeated South Africa 3-0 at home late last year. Virat Kohli will lead a well-balanced squad which will tour West Indies for 4 Test matches in July. The schedule for the series hasn’t been finalised yet. Interestingly, the selectors have picked a packed fast bowling attack. Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been brought back into the team whereas Mumbai pacer Shardul Thakur has been drafted to the squad for the first time.
Full Squad:
Virat Kohli (c), Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Stuart Binny.
