It was close call between Umran Malik, T Natarajan and Rahul Tripathi and yet it was the batter who made the cut given his towering presence in the excellent turnaround of affairs. The former KKR batter has managed to smash 205 runs at an excellent strike rate of 173.72 and a brilliant average of 51.25, in IPL 2022. Umran Malik deserves a special mention too given his brilliant over that produced 4 wickets against the Punjab Kings.

Delhi Capitals – Kuldeep Yadav
The chinaman spinner has manifested himself in the most intimidating avatar that we have seen him in the IPL in the last three years. He has already claimed 11 wickets at a fine economy rate of 8.23 in IPL 2022. His best haul in the tournament has so far been 4 for 35. Last night against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, despite being smacked for 23 runs in a single over by Glenn Maxwell, he came back and claimed the all-important scalp of the Australian hard-hitter.
Rajasthan Royals – Yuzvendra Chahal
Yuzi has been in scintillating form in IPL 2022, ever since he has donned the RR cap and his numbers are just too good to be ignored. He has already claimed 12 wickets in the tournament and is the leading contender for the purple cap. He has been exceptionally miserly with the cherry in his arms as his economy rate currently reads 6.8.
Kolkata Knight Riders – Umesh Yadav
