Recently, in an exclusive interview with Cricbuzz, Jasprit Bumrah talked about many things. He also opened up about his debut game and the feelings that were going on in his mind.
Recalling the memories of Jasprit Bumrah’s debut match, it was the last moment call for him as Mohammad Shami was ruled out of the time due to an injury. He was followed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar who too got injured in the lead-up to the final ODI in Sydney. Jasprit Bumrah revealed that Ravi Shastri came up to him and asked him to start first for the team. And Jasprit left a mark with his very first performance only and then there was no turning back.
However, a lot was going on in Jasprit’s mind. He revealed that he was nervous before the game started and how MS Dhoni walked to him and gave him a piece of advice that helped him shine in his debut game. Before Jasprit was about to deliver his first over of the International game, MS Dhoni walked to him and suggested the bowler to enjoy his game. He revealed:
“Nobody came up to me, nobody said anything, but MS came up and said just be yourself and enjoy.”
