Lokesh Rahul and Hardik Pandya shared a light moment post India’s 67 runs over the West Indies in the third t20 at Wankhede, Mumbai.
Hardik Pandya has been out of action for the past two months owing to a lower back injury. The star all-rounder has already started gymming and preparing for a strong comeback. However the 26-year-old took some time off to talk with his India teammate KL Rahul.

Rahul was in terrific form during the twenty20 series against Pollard’s men and contributed significantly in a 2-1 series victory. The Karnataka batsman amassed 163 runs with two half-centuries. His 56 ball 91 run knock earned him the Man of the Match in Mumbai. Rahul is currently striving to take place as a regular opener in India’s limited-overs squad and has so far succeeded in making his case. India restricted the Windies to 173/8 to win the match by 67 runs.
After such a mind-blowing performance, Rahul spoke to Hardik Pandya in an informal interview and made sure that the Baroda all-rounder knew of his absence being felt in the Indian dressing room.
“We are waiting for you to come back quickly, the dressing room feels empty without you at least for me, don’t know about the rest. You and (Jasprit) Bumrah are so important to the team. Hopefully, you guys recover and come back soon,” Rahul said.

“They (other teammates) are also feeling the same, they told me off-camera,” Hardik responded with a quirky smile.
This connection between the two explosive batsmen has only strengthened after the talk show controversy and this was quite evident in the interview as they interacted with sheer ease. The video was uploaded on BCCI’s Twitter handle for fans to view.
Hardik will look to come back into the circuit and join Rahul soon. The Indian team starts the ODI series against West Indies on Sunday- 15th December 2019.
