Earlier India registered a brilliant victory defeating arch rival Pakistan by 124 runs. Batting first, India got off to a brilliant start with both Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma registering half centuries. Rohit batted particularly well for his 91 before he succumbed to an unfortunate run out. But his dismal didn’t do much harm to the run rate as Yuvraj Singh tore apart the Pakistani bowling and made a quick fire 52. He was ably supported by the ever dependable Virat Kohli who as always remained calm and made his way to an unbeaten 81. Pakistan never looked like chasing the mammoth target and fell short by 124 runs.
