The former English skipper Michael Vaughan admitted that only Virat’s team has the caliber to beat a strong Australian side on their pitches. Micheal Vaughan expressed his thoughts very clearly when he spoke of the current English team’s incompetency in defeating Tim Paine’s men.
“This Australian Team in these conditions are going to take some beating … Only India has the tools to do so at this stage… #AUSvPAK,” Micheal Vaughan’s tweet read.
This Australian Team in these conditions are going to take some beating … Only @BCCI #India have the tools to do so at this stage imo … #AUSvPAK

His confidence in the lethal Indian bowling attack and solid batting lineup is evident in this tweet.
The Indian team has been performing flawlessly in the longest format of the game. Their test whitewash against South Africa and Bangladesh in consecutive series earned loud plaudits for the players. India is a team to beat in the One Day Internationals with quality gameplay for a long period now. The emergence of faster pacers and quality spinners have well-fed the requirements of modern cricket.
The only major scope for development in this Indian side is in the shortest format of cricket. Ravi Shastri and company are currently stalled at the 5th rung of the T20 table behind arch-rivals Pakistan, Australia, England and South Africa (in order). A humiliating defeat in the first t20 against Bangladesh was a wake-up call for the blues.
While praising the Indian team, Michael Vaughan also made it a point to discuss the now- mediocre English team. After all the World Cup laurels, Joe Root’s side drew the Ashes 2-2 with a struggling Australian unit. Their recently concluded New Zealand tour is a bag of mixed results.
“At this stage, I don’t think England have got a chance in two years’ time unless they suddenly find one or two high-class bowlers from somewhere and a high-class spinner,” Michael Vaughan said.
“I was here last year when they played a quality India team and they lost, but you could feel there was still a little bit of rawness and obviously there was no David Warner and Steve Smith,” he added.
Australia will tour India in January 2020, in order to play some limited over cricket.
