Another off field activity that Dhoni has, unfortunately, been part of is a reported court case against his former business partners for a fraud that cost Dhoni INR 15 crore.

MS Dhoni has approached the Ranchi court, filing a case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash’s firm, Aarka Sports and Management Limited. Dhoni and the firm had signed an agreement in 2017 to build a cricket academy in Ranchi. But, the management firm failed to deliver on the promise and this has cost MS Dhoni INR 15 crore.

The 2011 World Cup-winning skipper then had to send multiple legal notices to the firm, which went unanswered, forcing Dhoni to move to the Ranchi court. Dhoni’s lawyer Dayanand Singh reportedly said that Aarka Sports “cheated his client, resulting in a financial loss exceeding Rs 15 crore”.

On the cricket front, the CSK skipper will soon begin his training and net session to prepare for the IPL 2024. Dhoni led CSK to their 5th IPL title last season. The IPL 2024 is likely to be the last season for Dhoni.
