PM Narendra Modi’s Special Message For India Blind Team On Winning

In his congratulatory tweet, PM Narendra Modi said that the country is proud of the Blind team and wishes them the best for the future.


“India is proud of our athletes. Delighted that we have won the T-20 World Cup for the Blind. Congratulations to our team and best wishes to them for their future endeavours,” PM Modi tweeted.


Batting first, India put up 277 runs on the scoreboard for the loss of only two wickets in 20 overs. Sunil Ramesh scored 136 runs, while Reddy ended up with 100 runs.
Opener Venkareswara was dismissed as early as in the 4th over which also saw Meena getting dismissed.


Even after the double blow, Ramesh and Reddy counterattacked. This was Ramesh’s third hundred of the tournament. The two Indian batters put on an iconic unbeaten 248-run stand with Ramesh smashing 136 runs in 63 balls and Reddy whacking 100 runs from 50 balls.


Bangladesh managed to score 153 runs in the quota of 20 overs. Bangladesh openers, Salman and Ashiqur Rahman, gave a decent start to their team, but it was never going to be enough to challenge India’s mammoth total.
