Well, we are talking about Samit Dravid, the son of Rahul Dravid, who scored a double century in an Under-14 state-level cricket match this week.
Samit Dravid went past the two hundred mark for Vice-President’s XI vs Dharwad Zone in Karnataka State Cricket Association’s Under-14 inter-zonal tournament that took place in Bengaluru. The junior Dravid went on to play a 256-ball knock, where he scored 201 runs and smashed around 22 fours.
Well, that’s not it, Samit Dravid was in limelight again in second innings when he scored an unbeaten knock of 94 runs. During the match, he also registered the figures of 3/26. But seems like it wasn’t a good day for his team as the match ended in a draw.
Talking about the young talent, this isn’t the first time Samit Dravid has made it to headlines for his performances. He has been grabbing the headlines consistently by giving some brilliant performances at the Under-14 level. It was in the year 2018, where he had scored a 150 for Mally Aditi International School in Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) BTR Cup Under-14 tournament match.
In the year 2015, when he was only 9-years-old, Samit had marked his arrival in the cricket world by slamming three match-winning half-centuries (77*, 93, and 77) for Mallya Aditi. Which was followed by a 125 runs-knock for Bangalore United Cricket Club (BUCC) against Frank Anthony Public School in the Tiger Cup cricket tournament in the year 2016.
Following the footsteps of his father, Samit Dravid is touted to make it big in the cricket world.
