Rishabh Pant’s comeback was fulfilled on Saturday when the left-hander strolled out to bat in the Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings match in Chandigarh in IPL 2024.
Rishabh Pant, aged 26, had suffered a life-threatening accident in December 2022. While he suffered multiple injuries on his body, the major ones were on his knees, for which he required three ligament operations. Pant, though, attained fitness before the time the doctors predicted and now is back on the field.
Earlier he was declared fit by the BCCI and immediately was confirmed to start the IPL 2024 and lead Delhi Capitals.
On Saturday afternoon, Rishabh Pant led Delhi Capitals against Shikhar Dhawan’s Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh. He scored 18 runs in 13 balls with the help of two fours.
