Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is the heartbeat of Indian Premier League giants Kolkata Knight Riders. The superstar actor has been the the co-owner of KKR side ever since the inception of the Indian Premier League in the year 2008. Over the years, several cricketing legends such as the Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar, and batting icon Ricky Ponting, among others, have played for SRK’s franchise in the cash-rich league.
SRK’s Kolkata Knight Riders is also one of the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League, having won the prestigious cup twice in IPL history.
Shah Rukh Khan Recalled KKR’s IPL 2014 Triumph

Recently, KKR and its fans celebrated the anniversary of their title triumph in the IPL 2014 on Wednesday. And to celebrate the occasion Shah Rukh was featured in one of the posts of KKR and got candid.
Well, it was on June 1, 2014, when KKR won their second IPL title by defeating Punjab Kings in a thrilling final showdown, which was contested at the famous M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Recalling the great day, SRK said:
“I had this belief that I am thinking my team into victory. And both times it has happened, that it goes numb,”

In another video shared by KKR, senior Indian pacer Umesh Yadav can be seen taking a trip down memory lane and talking about the memorable win of Kolkata. “In the final, Punjab scored a massive total of 200. Wriddhiman Saha played a brilliant knock. We knew we could chase it down because the pitch was flat and slow. But even we lost wickets at the top. Manish Pandey batted really well, playing a knock of 94 and took the team out of trouble,” Yadav said.

Speaking about KKR’s stint in the recently-concluded 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, KKR failed to secure a place in the top four at the IPL 2022 points table. The Shreyas Iyer-led KKR finished the season at the 7th position in IPL 2022.
