Shimron Hetmyer is ending the year with a high note. The hard-hitting batsman from West Indies recently earned a lucrative IPL contract from Delhi Capitals.
Ahead of the auctions, when Royal Challengers Bangalore released him last month it must have come as a big blow for him. He was bought by the franchise for INR 4.2 crore in the last auction but he failed to live up to his reputation by scoring only 90 runs in 5 matches. However, the release turned out to be a good thing for the West Indies’ batsman as he was bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 7.75 Crores.
After the deal, Delhi Capitals shared a video of Shimron Hetmyer dancing on the hotel bed, on their Twitter handle. Here, check out the tweet:
Us: Hi, Mr. Shimron. Welcome to DC! Can you please share a message for our fans?
