SPOOF: KL Rahul Does A Press Conference Before The Third Test

“No one in more consistent in the world than me,” said KL Rah…erm..a parody of KL Rahul – Atharva Sudame, who is a renowned content creator, made a hilarious spoof video, wherein he imitated KL Rahul and made funny jokes about the opener who is struggling for form currently.

It is very well known that KL Rahul, one touted to be a future great, is undergoing a saddening lean patch with the bat, in particular in Test cricket.

Having lost his white-ball cricket vice-captaincy position, KL Rahul has now also lost his Test vice-captain following the second Test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar trophy, and is now under the threat of being dropped from the XI for young opener Shubman Gill.

Anyway, coming back to the YouTube video which has now gone sensationally viral among fans, this content creator made a perfect depiction of KL Rahul’s terrible form, while also, with no subtleties, trolling the team management that has been persistent in playing an out of touch and out of form opener.

So, in this video, the host donned the India jersey and sat in a press conference as KL Rahul. When asked about his criticism, Rahul’s parody played it down as being “baseless” before asking back when was the last time he was in form? Fair enough.

He himself trolled over his strike rate cricisim in T20 cricket, suggesting he plays T20 cricket with Test strike rate! Oooh-bbburrrn.

He admitted that he’s been “consistently failing”.

When told that many ex-cricketers are demanding that KL Rahul be dropped, this parody replied that who would then give the talking point to the media if he’s dropped! And there’s more.

Watch out the video here and laugh your heart out on this parody KL Rahul:

Meanwhile, Rahul has managed scores of 20, 17, and 1 in the two Tests against Australia.

Since the start of 2022, KL Rahul averages only 15 in 11 Test innings.

Head coach Rahul Dravid, however, has backed the opener.

“I think he needs to trust his processes. This is just a phase, he has been one of our most successful overseas openers. He’s got hundreds in South Africa and England, we’ll continue to back him,” Dravid said after the Delhi Test.

“I believe he has the quality and class to come out of this. It is great working with this unit, managing formats is the most difficult part. But there’s not a lot of technical coaching, just simple conversations and challenging them, and giving them a pat on the back when they do well,” he added.
