Suresh Raina Sent An Emotional Message To Faf du Plessis Last Night: Rajasthan Royals kickstarted their IPL 2020 campaign with a bang as they defeated three-time winners Chennai Super Kings in a match last night at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE. MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings who defeated Mumbai Indians in their opening clash failed to chase down the target of 216 runs.
Despite a stellar show by Faf du Plessis, that made everyone sit on the edge of the seats, Dhoni and his squad couldn’t chase the target and fell short of 16 runs as they ended up on the losing side.

Before the match started, MS
Dhoni, the skipper of CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first. We witnessed some powerpacked performances from RR batsmen including Steve Smith (69), Sanju Samson (74), and ofcourse, Jofra Archer (27), who gave a tough time to the bowlers of CSK.

Later, in the second innings, while the openers failed to give a steady start to the innings, but Faf du Plessis’ blockbuster knock of 72 runs off 37 balls brought a much-needed momentum to the match. During his powerful knock, he smashed 7 sixes and a four.

However, despite his stunning show, the team couldn’t reach the target on time. Though the legendary keeper-batsman, MS Dhoni managed to hit three stunning maximums in the final over, however, the harm was already done as it was too late by then.

Meanwhile, social media was flooded with amazing tweets for Dhoni-led team for their amazing effort to win the game.

Among many, former Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina, who recently pulled out of CSK for IPL 2020, also took to his twitter and posted an emotional tweet for Faf du Plessis and his great friend MS Dhoni, after their amazing performances in the match. He wrote:
