“Take Some Time”: Suryakumar Yadav Responds To Trollers After World Cup Final Loss

India batsman Suryakumar Yadav posted a message on his social media for the Indian fans following the loss in the World Cup 2023 final on Sunday night.

A billion dreams and hopes were shattered as Australia defeated India in the final by 6 wickets and with 7 overs to spare at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After a relentless bowling and athletic fielding display from the Aussies, Travis Head slammed 137 runs and shined on the night of the final.

Suryakumar Yadav didn’t have an ideal World Cup tournament as the rest of his teammates. Suryakumar scored 106 runs in 7 innings at an average of 17 and strike rate of 100 with a best of 49. Suryakumar Yadav got a lot of trolling and flak from Indian fans for his knock of 18 runs in 28 balls in the final against Australia.

While the World Cup may have ended, Suryakumar Yadav’s next assignment is only two days away: a 5 T20I series against Australia at home. More so, because SKY is likely to be named as the captain of a second-string Indian side.

According to reports, the Ajit Agarkar-led selection is likely to announce the squad for the Australia T20Is on Tuesday with Suryakumar and Ruturaj Gaikwad in contention to be named the skipper in the absence of Rohit, Rahul, Hardik, and Bumrah.

Among the youngsters to be picked are Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep, Umran, Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma and Avesh Khan. Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal and expected to make their returns, and so is Axar Patel.
