    Venkatesh Prasad Took A U-Turn On Twitter After KL Rahul’s Amazing Comeback

    India’s star opener KL Rahul, who has been under pressure for a long time now, bounced back to form as he played a match-winning knock to defeat Australia by 5 runs in the first ODI match of the ongoing 3-match series at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday.

    The stylish right-hander batter, who was under the scanner of criticism and trolling because of his poor form and inconsistent performances, was dropped from the XI and had also lost his Test vice-captaincy after the first two Tests against Australia. However, he made a brilliant comeback and played a leading role in India’s victory in the 1st ODI match.

    Chasing a target of 189 runs, the Indian cricket team reached 191/5 in 39.5 overs, all thanks to an unbeaten knock of 75 runs off 91 balls by Rahul. His stunning knock was laced with 7 fours and a six. He was well accompanied by Ravindra Jadeja from the other end. Jadeja also played an instrumental role in India’s win as he played a crucial knock of 45* off 69 balls, packed with five fours.

    The duo formed an amazing partnership and put up an unbeaten stand of 108 runs for the sixth wicket to help India defeat Australia in the series opener.

    Venkatesh Prasad Hailed KL Rahul For His Comeback

    Meanwhile, after the game, former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad, who was openly criticizing KL Rahul on social media because of his inconsistent run, also took to his social media and hailed the star opener for his amazing performance.

    Prasad took a u-turn as he heaped praises on Rahul for his amazing knock. He wrote:

    “Excellent composure under pressure and a brilliant innings by KL Rahul. Top knock. Great support by Ravindra Jadeja and a good win for India. #INDvAUS”
