Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar won hearts once more with his great gesture for his differently-abled fan from Kashmir, Amir Hussain Lone – a meeting he had promised last month.
Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Anjali, and daughter Sara are currently on a vacation in Jammu & Kashmir, exploring the beauty of the northern region of the country.
On Saturday, the 50-year-old posted a video of his meet with Amir Hussain Lone, a differently-abled cricketer who doesn’t have arms. Amir is the captain of the Jammu & Kashmir’s Para cricket team. Amir lost both his hands in an accident at his father’s mill when he was only 8 years of age.
Last month, a video of Amir had gone viral on social media in which he was seen batting in India blue colors while holding the bat between his shoulder and neck.
That video came to the attention of Sachin Tendulkar, who was impressed and inspired by Amir’s dedication to cricket.
Last month, Tendulkar had tweeted, “And Amir has made the impossible possible. I am so touched watching this! Shows how much love and dedication he has for the game. Hope I get to meet him one day and get a jersey with his name. Well done for inspiring millions who are passionate about playing the sport.”

On his ongoing trip to J&K, Sachin Tendulkar invited Amir and his family to have a meeting with him. The batting legend gifted Amir a special bat, and both even played a straight drive. Amir got emotional while speaking with Tendulkar, who welcomed Amir and his family members heartwarmingly.
Tendulkar captioned the video: “To Amir, the real hero. Keep inspiring!
It was a pleasure meeting you.”

Speaking with ANI last month, Amir had recalled the tough period after his accident.
He said, “After the accident, I didn’t lose hope and worked hard. I can do everything by myself and I am not dependent on anyone. No one helped me after my accident. Not even the government supported me but my family was always there for me.”
