Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli, who is currently plying his trade for Royal Challengers Bangalore, was involved in a heated exchange with the on-field umpires after his controversial dismissal in the ongoing RCB vs KKR clash at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Virat Kohli Lost His Cool At Umpires After Controversial Dismissal
The former RCB captain walked out to bat with all guns blazing and smashed 18 runs off just 6 balls. Virat Kohli made a strong start with a six and a four off Harshit Rana in the opening over, followed by another six off Mitchell Starc. However, Rana dismissed him on the first ball of the third over with a high full-toss.
Kohli reviewed the decision, claiming it was a no-ball due to its height, but replays showed it was dipping and would have been below his waist. Despite his frustration, Kohli left the field after a heated discussion with the umpire.

The controversial dismissal of Kohli also started a debate in the commentary box. Navjot Singh Sidhu felt that it was a not-out. He said:
“It was a clear no ball, I can’t believe how that was a fair ball. Firstly it was a beamer by the bowler, the bowler should have apologized for bowling a beamer. Umpires should have considered that Virat Kohli was on his toes and it was a beamer but the umpire gave that out, I don’t understand why. If the umpire gave that out then the bowler and captain of kkr should have come forward and taken their appeal back just like Ms Dhoni did back in 2014 when he called back Bell then Bell scored 200 but the spirit of cricket is bigger than the game “
Ambati Rayudu also came out in support of Kohli. He said: “It’s a big decision. Kohli is a big wicket, and umpires just can’t turn a blind eye before making such trash decisions. Poor umpiring.”
