[Watch] ‘As*hole’: Pacer Mohammad Ali Abuses Rassie van der Dussen After Being Hit For A Six In PSL

Multan Sultans pacer Mohammad Ali hurled down a couple of abuses to Lahore Qalandars batsman Rassie van der Dussen after the South African hit Ali for a six during their PSL encounter on Wednesday.

Multan and Lahore met in an exciting, high-scoring clash on Wednesday in the former’s home ground, the Multan Cricket Stadium. Multan won the match by 5 wickets with an over to spare by chasing down the target of 167 runs courtesy of captain Mohammad Rizwan’s 82 (59) and Iftikhar Ahmed’s finishing that yielded 34* runs in only 11 balls.

During the first innings of the match, fast bowler Mohammad Ali exchanged a few words with Rassie van der Dussen after the right-hander slammed a sixer.

Rassie played a brilliant scoop shot after walking across the off-stump and the ball sailed over the wicket-keeper for a six. Stunned by this, Mohammad Ali abused Rassie with a couple of expletives and stared at the batter while walking back to his mark.

The South African batsman, though, didn’t reply anything and just continued on with his job. Van der Dussen was unfazed by Mohammad Ali’s abuses and went on to score 54 runs in 37 balls.

Mohammad Rizwan was named the Man of the Match for his knock of 82 runs in 59 balls could have lost his side the match if not for Iftikhar Ahmed’s blast of 34 runs in 11 balls.

Rizwan said, “I made some mistake. Never expected it would seam and swing so much. Iftikhar told us if we don’t lose wickets in the powerplay, we will chase it. There wasn’t enough turn when our spinners bowled. Iftikhar is one of the top finishers in the world in my opinion. Catches have been going down at this venue. It’s not only us but even Islamabad dropped catches in the last game.”

With this win, Multan have won all their three games so far while Shaheen Afridi’s Lahore have lost all their three matches.
