Indian cricket were very happy after Yuvraj Singh was included in India’s squad for ODIs and T20Is against England, starring from 15th January. Yuvraj Singh worked hard on his fitness and gave good performances at the domestic level to push selectors for a spot in India’s limited-overs squad for the upcoming series against England.
Chairman of selectors MSK Prasad praised Yuvraj Singh by saying he played well in the domestic circuit and has been picked on the basis of his good performances at the domestic level.
“We should appreciate how Yuvraj has played. He did extremely well in domestic cricket, which has been appreciated,” Prasad said in the press conference.
Yuvraj Singh also got excited after his name was included in the squad and posted a tweet which he deleted later. Visibly please, Yuvraj Singh couldn’t hide his excitement and tweeted: “Yeah bab.., tra laaa laa laaaa”
Yuvraj Singh played his last ODI match for India on December 11, 2013 against South Africa at Centurion while his last T20I appearance came on March 27, 2016 against Australia at Mohali in the World T20.
