Rishabh Pant Played A Sensational Knock

On Sunday, chasing a target of 259 runs, the Indian cricket team was in a spot of bother after the top-order collapse. The Indian side was reeling at 72-4 after 16.2 overs, however, Pant stood up for his side when they needed him the most. Pant paced his innings wonderfully, taking time to reach his 50 in 71 balls, and then he switched gears and went crazy. He smashed his last 75 runs in just 42 balls.
Pant remained unbeaten on 125 runs off 113 balls. During his sensational knock, he smashed 16 fours and 2 sixes. He was later adjudged Man of the Match for his brilliant ton.

After the sensational win, during the post-match presentation, Rishabh Pant talked about his memorable knock. He said:
‘Hopefully, I remember (this knock) for the rest of my life. I was focusing on one ball at a time when I was batting. When your team is under pressure and you bat like that .. something I aspire to do.”
“I always enjoy playing in England, at the same time enjoy the atmosphere and the situation. The more you play the more experience you gain. Nothing to take away from the bowlers, it was a good wicket to bat on and the bowlers did a commendable job to restrict them, they were brilliant not only today but for the entire series,” he added.
