He has played in 114 Tests, 228 ODIs, and 78 T20 Internationals for the South African cricket team. With 22 centuries and 46 fifty-pluses, the former South African international amassed 8765 runs at an average of 50.7 in tests.

On the other hand, in one-day internationals, he amassed 9577 runs at an average of 53.5, including 25 centuries and 53 half-centuries. In T20Is, he amassed 1672 runs, including 10 half-centuries.

He accomplished the milestone in 2015 during an ODI at the Wanderers against the West Indies cricket side. During his time at the crease, he built his innings using 16 sixes and 9 fours. In the end, AB de Villiers scored a brilliant 149 off 44 balls.

2. Fastest 150 in ODIs

With only 64 balls, AB de Villiers completed the feat. In fact, he reached the 100-run milestone in just 52 pitches before scoring another 50 runs in the following 12 pitches he faced. He hit up to 17 fours and 8 sixes while scoring 162 off 66 balls to remain unbeaten.
