It has been quite a ride for Rishabh Pant. He attained instant success in the IPL, which prompted a direct selection in the national team, where he had a topsy-turvy time. He played a major role in India’s twin Test series wins in Australia and had grown leaps and bounds as a keeper and a cricketer and was even promoted in the leadership group and led India in a few matches.

Aged 19 in 2016, Pant made his IPL debut for Delhi (Daredevils then, now Capitals) In 2021, he was named DC’s captain in the IPL.

Overall, from 2016 to 2022, Rishabh Pant has scored 2838 runs in the IPL at an average of 34 and strike rate of 147 with 15 fifties and one century to his name.

One of the few players to have played the first 15 seasons in the IPL, and the only one to do it for a single franchise, Virat Kohli, was RCB’s pick from the 2008 Under-19 World Cup winning batch, which he captained.

Kohli soon got into the Indian team and became a legend in the 2010s decade. He was a regular in the RCB team in his first season itself, in 2008, playing 13 matches, and after that featured in most of RCB’s matches, barely missing a few due to injuries.

Born in 1988, Virat Kohli had amassed 2632 IPL runs by the time he completed his 25th birth anniversary.
