Legendary Indian leg-spinner Anil Kumble has posted the latest photo with his wife from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. He tweeted that he felt “blessed” to be part of this “divine occasion” on Monday, January 22, in Ayodhya.
The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shree Ram Lalla’s idol at the grand temple will be positioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. The ceremonial enthronement of Ram Lalla at the shrine’s sanctum-sanctorum will be witnessed by over 7000 sadhus and saints. Notable dignitaries from across all fields in India have been invited to Ayodhya for this historic event.
Among cricketers, along with Anil Kumble, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Venkatesh Prasad have been invited, to name a few.
Anil Kumble arrived in Ayudhya with his wife.
He posted a photo with the caption, “Pure Bliss and Blessed to be part of this divine occasion 🙏🏽 #RamMandirAyodhya #JaiShriRamJi”
Speaking with ANI, Anil Kumble said, “It is a wonderful occasion, a very divine occasion. Blessed to be a part of this. It’s very historic. Looking forward to seeking blessings from Ram Lalla. We’ll continue to come to Ayodhya but to be a part of this occasion in itself is a wonderful feeling, and we’re blessed.”
Hailed as India’s spinner, Anil Kumble took 619 wickets in 132 Tests and 337 wickets in 271 ODIs. He also captained the Test team for a brief period in 2008/09, which included a Test match victory in Perth. He is one of the only three bowlers to take all 10 wickets in a Test innings, a feat achieved against Pakistan in 1999 in Delhi.
Meanwhile, talking about the Ram temple in Ayodhya, it has been built with an investment of INR 1800 crore, spanning over 70 acres, with the main area covering 2.7 acres.
