Sourav Ganguly has won the respect and love of Indian cricket fans all over again after taking the initiative of hosting India’s first-ever day-night pink-ball Test match at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Cricket fans in the state of West Bengal and other states of India came in huge numbers to watch the day-night Test and despite it being a one-sided game, the match was watched with great interest and enthusiasm.
India played brilliantly and defeated Bangladesh with utmost ease, and continued their winning streak and the number 1 position in the ongoing ICC Test Championship. Now, the margin between India and Australia (ranked second) is 244 points.
After the game was concluded, Indian cricket fans showered praises on Sourav Ganguly and praised him for taking the initiative of organizing India’s first-ever pink-ball Test. India’s head coach Ravi Shastri also congratulated Sourav Ganguly and praised for his efforts.
