And he is back. A truly fit Hardik Pandya finally made his return to the Indian cricket team in the ongoing 5-match T20I series against South Africa.
Hardik Made A Blockbuster Comeback
Hardik, who has been out of the Indian squad for quite some time owing to his injuries and recovery, finally made his return to the Indian cricket team after a long gap. There were many who had written him off, however, Pandya silenced one and all with his stellar performances in the recently-concluded 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, where he led his side Gujarat Titans to its maiden title victory as a captain.
Riding on the back of his stunning performances in IPL 2022, Hardik Pandya was recalled for the ongoing series and he has now repaid the faith shown by the BCCI.
In the ongoing 1st T20I match against South Africa, Hardik Pandya played a quick-fire role and helped team India register a humongous score against the Proteas. He formed an amazing partnership with stand-in captain Rishabh Pant and the duo launched barrages of attacks on the visitors.
Hardik smashed the Proteas bowlers to all the corners of the ground as he went on to smash 2 fours and 3 sixes off just 12 deliveries. He remained unbeaten on 31 runs and returned to the pavilion at the innings break with an amazing strike rate of 258.
