India’s swashbuckling all-rounder Yuvraj Singh missed the first practise session due to illness and created a huge storm among Indian cricket fans. Yuvraj Singh is the most experienced player in the current squad and his presence in the middle order is very important for Team India.
Since his One Day International (ODI) comeback against England, in which he scored his career best score, he has been in fine touch. In the recently concluded IPL 2017, Yuvraj played a couple of bolstering knocks for Sunrisers Hyderabad and he was striking the ball really well.
Media reports emerged on Saturday morning that Yuvraj Singh has caught fever and he didn’t participate in Team India’s first practice session before their first warm-up match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 against New Zealand.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the news of Yuvraj’s injury through Twitter. BCCI tweeted that there are no major health concerns and Yuvi is making a steady progress from viral fever. However, he will miss the first warm-up match against New Zealand.
“NEWS ALERT: @YUVSTRONG12 is making steady progress from viral fever. No major health concerns. He will miss the first warm-up #CT17”
