Glenn Maxwell Took A Hilarious Dig At Virat Kohli: Royal Challengers Bangalore handed a 13-run defeat to Chennai Super Kings, ending their 3-match losing streak to jump to the 4th spot in the IPL 2022 points-table.

Asked to bat first, the Faf du Plessis side was restricted to a total of 173/8. Though RCB got off to a positive start with openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli adding 50 runs inside 5 overs, however, the run rate went down after powerplay and soon the team witnessed a horrible collapse.

Moeen Ali, who was making his return to the playing XI, got the first breakthrough for the Chennai-based franchise and dismissed the RCB skipper. In the next over, Glenn Maxwell was run-out for 3 off 3. Virat was also dismissed in the 10th over, leaving the side with a total of 79 only. Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik, and Rajat Patidar played crucial knocks and took the total score of RCB to 173 runs.

CSK failed miserably to chase down the target runs as they suffered a horrible collapse and fell short of 13 runs. After the win, the RCB players celebrated the win in the dressing room.

During the celebrations, Glenn Maxwell jokingly told Virat that he won’t bat with him as he just runs too fast. When Maxwell got run-out, Kohli was at the other end. Maxwell said:

“I just can’t bat with you. You run too fast, you run too fast. You get ones and twos, I don’t,”

The video of the same has been going viral on the internet. Watch the video:

Talking about Maxwell, though he failed to play a big knock, he chipped in with 2 crucial wickets. Maxwell first dismissed Robin Uthappa for a score of just 1 run. In his next over, he picked the wicket of Ambati Rayudu.
