MS Dhoni smashed his customary winning six in the quarter final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017 and took Jharkhand to semi-final of the tournament.
After winning the toss, Vidarbha decided to bat first and lost 4 quick wickets at a modest score of just 18 runs. Jharkhand’s fast bowler Monu Kumar and Varun Aaron bent their back and troubled the opposition batsmen with their pace and swing. Vidarbha kept losing wickets at regular intervals but their all-rounder Ravi Jangid scored a crucial half century and took his team put 160 runs on the board.
Chasing a modest target of 160, Jharkhand got a solid start from their openers Ishan Kishan and Pratyush Singh. Vidarbha threatened Jharkhand buy taking a few wickets but, coming at number 6, MS Dhoni made sure there were no further losses as Jharkhand scampered to a six wicket win. He was unbeaten at 18 off 27 balls.
