Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli shares a great bond of respect and friendship with legendary cricketer MS Dhoni. He has time and again expressed his love and admiration for MS Dhoni. On Thursday, Virat Kohli penned a heartfelt post for his former captain MS on his official social media accounts as he recalled being his ‘trusted deputy’ in the Indian cricket team.

For the unversed, Virat played for almost 11 years with Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the highest level. MS Dhoni, who is hailed as one of the most successful captains to have led the Indian cricket team, has won every major ICC trophy during his tenure. He led the Indian team in the Test format from 2008 to 2014, and in white-ball formats from 2007 to 2016
Virat Kohli succeeded Dhoni as the captain of the Indian cricket team and went on to become one of the most successful captains of all time in the format. While he is going through a rough phase in his career, he remembered the kind of support he received from MS Dhoni. Sharing a picture of himself with Dhoni, Virat said:
“Being this man’s trusted deputy was the most enjoyable and exciting period in my career. Our partnerships would always be special to me forever. 7+18 ”
