Former Indian cricketer and one of the most destructive batsmen in cricket history, Virender Sehwag, is very active on Twitter these days. After he announced his retirement from international cricket, Sehwag has taken up cricket commentary and just like his batting, he keeps it very simple. Sehwag has emerged as a very entertaining ‘Hindi’ commentator and his fans in India are enjoying watching him in this new role. Sehwag’s flurry of funny tweets seem to be never ending as the former Indian batsman wished his one-time captain and teammate Sourav Ganguly on his birthday. The tweet said: “HappyBirthdayDada @SGanguly99. May you keep on helping India wave our flag high, just like u waved ur shirt at Lords.”
Sehwag, who was a key member of Ganguly’s squad that won many trophies for India, made a direct reference to the incident when then captain Sourav Ganguly took off his shirt in wild celebration after India’s win against England in the Natwest triangular series in 2002 at Lords. This is what Virender Sehwag tweeted:
