Virat Kohli was at his animated best following India’s win over Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 final. The 34-year-old showed his childish heart and was playful around the team members and the ground staff, enjoying his time as a cricketer and as a person.
Fans stayed around for post-match press conference and even after that to observe what the fan-favorite Virat Kohli was doing. Many fans didn’t leave the R. Premadasa Stadium even after the post-match presentation was concluded so that they could get more glimpses of Virat Kohli.
After the match, the Indian players were seen having fun and mimicking each other. First Ishan Kishan mimicked Kohli’s walking style, but then Kohli too imitated Kishan’s walking style.
This eked bursts of laughter from the fans in the stands. The video of the same event went viral on social media and the fans couldn’t stop laughing at Virat Kohli’s actions of mimicking Ishan Kishan.

Talking about the Asia Cup 2023 final, India were at their dominant best with the ball with Mohammed Siraj recording his ODI career’s best bowling figures of 6/21. This is also now the 4th best ODI bowling figures by an Indian bowler in ODIs.
After Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Kusal Perera in the first over, Siraj ran riot picking up 6 wickets in his 7-over new-ball spell to all but seal the final for India. Then Hardik Pandya took the remaining three wickets to bowl Sri Lanka out for only 50 runs.

The wicket was seaming earlier, but there was swing today. Thought that I will bowl fuller because of the swing. When there’s good bonding between fast bowlers, it’s helpful for the team. I was thinking it would be great if I could stop the boundary. My best spell. This cash prize goes to the groundsmen. This tournament wouldn’t have been possible without them.”
