CSK vs LSG: Impact Player List Of Both Teams

For Match number 6 of IPL 2023, the Chennai Super Kings host the Lucknow Super Giants at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

For the first time since 2019, MS Dhoni’s CSK will be playing at their den, their fortress that is the Chepauk ground. Chennai Super Kings win a lot more here than they lose, and they will need that impetus in Chennai after coming from a loss in Ahmedabad to Gujarat Titans in the first match of the IPL 2023. The Titans defeated Chennai Super Kings  by 5 wickets in Ahmedabad to kick-start the IPL 2023.

KL Rahul’s LSG team is coming off a spectacular victory over the Delhi Capitals in Lucknow, wherein Kyle Mayers starred with the bat and Mark Wood starred with the ball via a stunning five-for.

Impact Player rule in IPL 2023:

The Indian Premier League 2023 also sees, for the first time in the competition’s history, the Impact Player rule. The BCCI has decided to introduce this new rule as it believes this will add a new tactical, strategic dimension to the game. A number of team sports in the world like football, rugby, basketball, and baseball allow teams to make tactical substitutions where the substitute is allowed to perform or participate like any other regular player.

Every captain will have to nominate 5 substitutes and any one of them can be used as the team’s Impact and can bring that player into play at any time in the match – be it before the start of the second innings of the match; at the end of an over; at the fall of a wicket or when a batter retires.
