Fans Taunt Shubman Gill In Ahmedabad: While it is normal for fans in the stadium to cheer up their team or their players by chanting their names, in the past year, an unusual, and quite hilarious, chant has been going around in the Indian stadiums: “Humari Bhabhi Kaisi ho, Sara Bhabhi Jaisi ho.”
Yup – in recent months, Indian fans have been merrily chanting this chant to tease India opener Shubman Gill who has slowly been becoming a regular for India.
Shubman Gill had reportedly been dating Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar; now, it is believed that Shubman Gill is dating Sara Ali Khan, the Bollywood diva and daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan.
So wherever Shubman Gill has played for India in recent months, this chant has been heard as fans taunted the 23-year-old opener.
This same chorus was heard at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, where India and Australia are competing in the 4th Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023.
As India toiled hard in the field as Australia batted for over 160 overs in their first innings, the crowd teased Shubman Gill with chants of Sara.

Meanwhile, the Indian openers Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma took India to stumps on Day 2 unscathed after negotiating the last 10 overs at the end of the day, scoring 36 runs after Australia were bowled out for 490 runs in 167.2 overs. Usman Khawaja scored 180 while Cameron Green scored 114.
Senior off-spinner R Ashwin returned with another five-wicket haul in his bag and created quite a few records today. Ashwin’s figures of 6/91 in 47.2 overs, which is an economy rate of 1.9, stood miles ahead of the other four Indian bowlers on show in Ahmedabad.
Rohit and Gill have started India’s innings on a positive note: Sharma is 17* (33) and Shubman Gill is 18*(27). Gill showed aggression by hitting Nathan Lyon for a six down the ground in the last over.
India will need both of them to continue batting in the morning and lay a platform for the rest of batters in reply to Australia’s 490 on what is a good surface for batting.
