As Test cricket is finally returning back to Pakistan after a long gap of 10 years, Pakistani fans are as excited as they could get. Fans were thrilled because of the success of the recently finished 2-Test tour of Sri Lanka that marked the return of Test cricket to Pakistan. Former Pakistani cricketer hailed the success of the series but continued with his verbal attack on India.
Recently, a video posted on Pakistani sports website PakPassion.net, Javed Miandad can be seen demanding ICC to basically boycott India as a cricket playing country. In the video, he demanded the ICC to stop other countries from touring to India.
Well, in the wake of the ongoing protests going on in the nation after the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Bill, the country has witnessed many violent scenes in the last week. Calling India “unsafe”, Javed Miandad said:
“My message to ICC, please stop all the playing countries [from] touring India.”
He added:
“Now you can see, now [we] will see the justice from ICC, what are they going to do and what they are going to say to the world.”
Sending a message to ICC, Javed said:
“ICC, come forward and tell all the world, all the people who are members with the ICC, they must tell all the countries [to] stop playing any games in India because India is [no longer] a safe country. Other countries are better than India because there they are fighting with the people, their own people. Look at that, what’s going on? Must take action.”
Javed Miandad also asked the other countries to take a stand against India and support humanity as people are being killed like animals in India, according to him. He said:
“I urge all countries to stand for the human being and condemn India. The whole world is watching and everyone is concerned, the UN is talking about it. All the countries should take a stand against India where they are killing people like animals. India should be ashamed. India is finished.”
He added:
“ICC, come forward and tell all the world, all the people who are members with the ICC, they must tell all the countries (to) stop playing any games in India because India is [no longer] a safe country. Other countries are better than India because there they are fighting with the people, their own people. Look at that, what’s going on? Must take action.”
Well, Miandad’s comments come in after the recent remarks from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ehsan Mani, who called Pakistan safer than India. He said:
“We have proved that Pakistan is safe, if someone isn’t coming then they should prove that it’s unsafe. At this time, India is a far greater security risk than Pakistan,”
The Indian fans were disappointed after his statements and thus are trolling him left, right and center.
