Not KL Rahul, Virat Kohli Is Also A Massive Problem For India: Indian star opener KL Rahul has found himself at the receiving end of harsh criticism and trolling because of his poor form and inconsistent performances.

After playing a series of forgetful knocks, KLR failed to leave a mark with his bat in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Several experts and fans are also urging the Indian board to replace him with Shubman Gill for the remaining series.
KL Rahul’s Embarrassing Numbers
KL Rahul played four Tests last year, aggregating 137 runs at an average of 17.12, with just one fifty. In 10 ODIs last year, he scored 251 runs at an average of 27.88, with two half-centuries and a best score of 73.
In 16 T20Is in 2022, he scored 434 runs at an average of 28.93 and six half-centuries, with a best score of 62. Overall, in all the 30 international games last year, he only amassed 822 runs at an average of 25.68, with nine half-centuries.
Though Rahul has managed to keep his place intact in the squad, he was removed as India’s vice-captain in the longest format.
However, KL Rahul isn’t the only one who is receiving criticism for his form.
In fact, Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli hasn’t been in his prime in the longest format of the game. Though, he looked good playing his first match in his hometown in four years, he only produced scores of 44 and 20 in both innings of the fixture at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
This has further elongated his Test century drought and many were quick to take a dig at Kohli despite proving himself for several years.
Earlier, he scored just 12 runs in the first innings of the first Test match against Australia in Nagpur.
Going into the third Test match, King Kohli’s form in the red-ball format will continue to worry India’s think tank. Though, he recently found his prime in the limited format of the game, but he continues to struggle in Test cricket.
Talking about his average, Kohli’s Test average peaked after his 84th Test when it read 54.97. His current average is only 48.7. His last Test century came against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens in November 2019. Ever since then, he has been struggling to score a century in the red-ball format.
The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will need Virat to make a bigger contribution if they want to win more games in the longest format.
