IPL 2022: Watch – Rohit Sharma Hilariously Asked Rishabh Pant Before Opting To Bowl At Toss

IPL 2022: It is the Delhi Capitals who have it all to play for in their last group stage encounter – against Mumbai Indians at their home, the Wankhede Stadium, on Saturday. At the toss, MI captain Rohit Sharma and DC skipper Rishabh Pant were involved in a sweet banter leading to Sharma even asking Pant what he should do after he had won the toss.

The Capitals have 14 points in 13 matches and will eclipse Royal Challengers Bangalore – who have 16 points but a poor NRR compared to DC – in the points table to take the fourth position if they defeat MI and hence will go through to the playoffs.

In the all-important game, Rishabh Pant, though, lost the toss. After winning the toss, Rohit Sharma seemingly asked Pant what he wants to bat first or field first – but the DC skipper, with childish innocence, just smiled and tilted his head. Rohit then proceeded to announce, with rain around, that he’s decided to bowl first.

MI made two changes to their line-up that lost to SRH: Dewald Brevis comes back in for Tristan Stubbs and Hrithik Shokeen replaces the injured Sanjay Yadav. DC made one change: Prithvi Shaw, after recovering from typhoid, comes back straightaway, replacing Lalit Yadav in the eleven that won against Punjab Kings.

Delhi Capitals (Playing XI): Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant(w/c), Sarfaraz Khan, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Khaleel Ahmed

Mumbai Indians (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma(c), Ishan Kishan(w), Dewald Brevis, Tilak Varma, Tim David, Ramandeep Singh, Daniel Sams, Hrithik Shokeen, Jasprit Bumrah, Riley Meredith, Mayank Markande

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have the full support of RCB players and the franchise’s fans. Even Virat Kohli, a couple of days ago, said that he’ll be supporting Rohit Sharma’s side as they pray for MI’s victory to qualify for the playoffs.

“Trying to put our feet up and chill out for 2 days and support Mumbai. We have 2 more supporters for Mumbai, not just 2 but I think 25 more supporters. You might see us in the stadium as well,” Kohli said in an interview with skipper Faf du Plessis for IPLT20.com after RCB’s win against Gujarat Titans.
